Willamette University's Public Interest Law Project (WUPILP) has hosted its annual auction since 1992. WUPILP is dedicated to increasing awareness of students, faculty, and administrators to the rewards and opportunities in public interest law through financial support, educational programs, and community outreach. Board members work to create public interest legal employment and training opportunities, to remove the economic barriers that confront public interest lawyers, and provide informational and inspirational resources for public service work. WUPILP achieves these goals primarily through the distribution of fellowships to students who devote their summers to working for public interest organizations that otherwise cannot offer financial support. Oregon attorneys, judges, law students, and faculty of Willamette Law look forward to the auction every year. While the auction itself is a lot of fun, all money raised will go towards funding life changing student fellowships. See more about our 2022 Fellows here.
